AFPI Logo
The AFPI Logo consists of the name and abbreviation for the Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI) and nine rings representing the nine principles of family medicine. The nine principles of family medicine are (1) an open-ended commitment to patients; (2) an understanding of the context of illness; (3) the use of all visits for preventive purposes; (4) the view of the practice as a population at risk; (5) the use of a community-wide network of supports; (6) the sharing with patients of the same habitat; (7) the care of patients in office (clinic), home, and hospital; (8) a recognition of the subjective aspects of medicine; and (9) an awareness of the need to manage resources.
The current logo of AFPI was adopted in 2015. AFPI members can use this logo on their letterheads, visiting cards, and clinics as a mark of identity and AFPI affiliation. The original design file can be obtained from the AFPI secretariat for replication. Uniformity and AFPI's image policy should be maintained while using the logo. Nonmembers and other organizations cannot use the logo without prior permission.
