We are pleased to announce that first ever WONCA South Asia Regional Family Medicine conference held in India from 16 to 18 December, 2011 in Mumbai.

This is an excellent opportunity for all family medicine residents, post graduates and faculty to get international flavor of academic family medicine. We appeal to all our members to benefit from this special opportunity and present their work as posters, presentations and research papers.

Academy of Family Physicians of India is a collaborator of this conference for “The Spice Route” which is a movement for young and future family physicians in South Asia. As an organization we are committed for continued advocacy for stronger academic family medicine at UG/PG level in India in order to bring family medicine in main stream of university based medical education.

The conference brings opportunity to discuss specific issues related to the training of DNB (post graduate ) family medicine such as New Regulation 2005, final examination preparation/improving passing percentage, family medicine research and thesis, clinical skill development, post training employment opportunities, practice management etc.

The conference is hosted by FFPAI and organized by General Practitioners' Association- Greater Bombay (GPA). India. The venue of the conference is Renaissance Convention Centre Hotel on Powai Lake Mumbai.
